The Washington Youth Tour, organized by Mohave Electric Cooperative, Inc., offers a remarkable opportunity for high school juniors whose parents or guardians are MEC members. Selected students will represent the cooperative on a week-long trip to Washington D.C. during the summer of 2025. This educational journey includes visits to significant landmarks, interactions with peers from across the nation, and insights into the United States' historical context. Participants are chosen through a competitive process involving an essay and a presentation. Applications, requiring a 300-500 word essay, are due by October 31, 2024.
