Sacramento Valley Museum

Housed in a historic building that originally served as Williams High School from 1911 to 1956, the Sacramento Valley Museum offers a captivating glimpse into the past. This building, which educated notable alumni like jazz musician Turk Murphy and Kenneth Zumwalt, Editor of Stars and Stripes during WWII, transitioned into a museum in 1963. The museum showcases an impressive array of exhibits, featuring late 19th and early 20th-century local memorabilia, providing visitors with a unique step back in time. Open from mid-March through October, Thursday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the museum also offers private appointments and can be rented for various events, including meetings, plays, and parties. Rental fees are $350 for non-members and $250 for members. For more details, please call.
