Clarksville Main Street

Our journey began in 2003 when we became a vital part of the Texas Main Street Program, under the auspices of the Texas Historical Commission.

Our purpose is deeply rooted in preserving our rich historical heritage while fostering economic growth and celebrating the diverse local culture. We are committed to achieving this mission by collaborating with the City of Clarksville, local tourism organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, current business proprietors, aspiring entrepreneurs, engaged community members, dedicated volunteers, and all those who share our vision.

Embracing the Texas Main Street Four-Point approach—namely, Organization, Promotion, Economic Restructuring, and Design—we are dedicated to rejuvenating our downtown business district. This approach serves as the cornerstone and guiding principle behind our efforts to restore the historic charm and architecture of our beloved town while revitalizing economic development.
