Women, Infants and Children (WIC)


Nutrition education and supplemental food for moderately low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. Call or come in to see if you qualify and to make an appointment.

WIC is a special supplemental nutrition program that serves income-eligible pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk. The WIC program provides participants with nutrition education, nutritious food, breastfeeding support, community referrals, nutrition counseling, and health screening.

At the Elko WIC clinic, located in the Family Resource Center, there are many resources available to help you and your family. There is also bilingual staff available for clients who speak Spanish. Se Habla Espanol.
