At Tallgrass, we take water stewardship seriously, delivering smart, sustainable solutions for sourcing, recycling, and disposal. Our water services support efficient drilling operations and include partnerships with municipalities to provide clean water to local communities. In the Powder River Basin, we manage 8.3 million barrels of water storage and can process up to 40,000 barrels per day through disposal and evaporation. In 2021 alone, we recycled 5.5 million barrels of water in Wyoming, helping conserve fresh water. In water-stressed areas like Texas, we reduce reliance on potable water by using treated municipal effluent—820,000 barrels in 2021—to support responsible operations.
