The Tree Climbing Facilitation course trains individuals to become professional guides who help novice climbers safely enjoy recreational tree climbing. The course covers the standards, procedures, and guidelines for running a facilitated climb event, including tree and system inspections, safety protocols, and climber management. Participants will learn techniques for modified climbing systems, climber assistance, and aerial rescue. While full proficiency takes time, the course provides ongoing mentorship to support participants in obtaining GOTC credentials and advancing in their facilitation careers.
